Appeal following multiple vehicle interference incidents in Waterford

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a series of vehicle interference incidents in Waterford.

The incidents occurred on Goldings Lane, Woodland Grove, High Road and Waterford Common between Saturday 18 July and Monday 20 July.

At around 2.40am on Monday 20 July, a laptop and laptop bag containing personal items were reported stolen from a white Polestar 2 parked on Waterford Common.

Between 3pm on Sunday 19 July and 6.50am on Monday 20 July, a grey Kia Niro parked on High Road was targeted. A pair of Apple AirPods, another pair of earphones and a quantity of cash were reported stolen.

On Woodland Grove, between 3.15am and 3.20am on Monday 20 July, an offender gained access to a Volkswagen Golf and carried out an untidy search of the vehicle. It is not believed that anything was taken.

A further incident occurred on Goldings Lane between 8am on Saturday 18 July and 10am on Sunday 20 July, when a pair of sunglasses, a quantity of cash and a book were stolen from a white Citroen C3.

PC Alexander Swales from the East Herts Response Policing Team, said: "We are investigating these incidents and are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who may have CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or other footage that could assist our enquiries.”

PCSOs are holding an engagement in the Village Hall car park at 10.30am on Saturday 1 August, to chat to residents and the local community, to offer crime prevention advice following this series of incidents.
